The inaugural Central West Mummy Awards was launched in 2021 to highlight the achievements of people in our community across six key categories open to Men and Women (excluding Mum Of The Year). For more on our 2022 awards categories, see here.
Media Personality and trailblazer, Erin Molan will share her story of persistence, resilience, failure and always ‘fronting up’ regardless of what’s thrown her way…plus ensuring negative experiences become a catalyst for change…always with a laugh along the way!
Erin Molan is an Australian TV and Radio presenter. She hosts the comedy breakfast show on 2DayFM as one third of ‘Hughesy, Ed and Erin’, is a prime time contributor at Sky News and a columnist for the Daily Telegraph. Molan is also the proud designer and owner of a world first baby range, ‘By Erin’.
She is passionate about using her platform to support countless charities and causes – including Bowel Cancer Australia, Dreams2Live4, Syd2Camera and Tresillian.
Her own experience with online abuse led to her advocacy for new laws to protect Australians online. The ‘Online Safety Act’ or ‘Erin’s Law’, as Prime Minister Scott Morrison refers to it, was passed in Parliament in 2021.
She spent over a decade as a sports and news presenter on Channel 9… including as the first female to host the NRL Footy Show and 2GBs Continuous Call Team.
Molan also competed in the World’s most dangerous open ocean race, The Sydney to Hobart, on two occasions, the second as part of the World Record breaking winning team, Perpetual Loyal.
Erin considers inspiring and empowering the next generation of Australians as a genuine privilege and responsibility.
Our Emcee Jessica Hickman will host the afternoon and awards ceremony over an elegant high tea afternoon event.
