After a two year hiatus following the inaugural 2019 MumFest event, hundreds of women filled the space at the Ex-Services Club in Orange for an epic night of entertainment and face-to-face connection.

Women from all across our Central West community gathered to enjoy listening to  special guest Sam Bloom, spinal cord injury survivor, two-time World Para Surfing champion, best selling author and inspiration behind the #1 Australian box-office and international global Netflix hit movie Penguin Bloom starring Naomi Watts as Sam. The movie is adapted from the International best selling book, Penguin Bloom: The Odd Little Bird Who Saved a Family. Published in 13 languages, Penguin Bloom is a collaboration between Sam’s husband Cameron, a professional photographer, and New York Times bestselling Author Bradley Trevor Greive.

Sam captivated the entire room with her story of first confronting and then overcoming adversity.  Her honesty shone through as there was no sugar coating her experience. Inspirational is not how Sam sees herself but her multitude of success following such a tragic accident left everyone in awe. Her moving and emotional story was followed by the opportunity to meet with Sam and Cam Bloom with a book signing. Also on offer was delicious food, signature cocktails, prizes to win, music and dancing with Mr and Mrs Parkes and so much more.
