How to Apply for Back To School Vouchers NSW

Parents, Guardians and Carers of school-aged children in NSW can now apply for Back to School Vouchers valued at $150 for each eligible student.

Premier Dominic Perrottet announced in December 2022 that the NSW Government will invest $193 million into three $50 Back to School vouchers per child to help ease the cost of living pressures.

You can apply for the vouchers if you’re a caregiver of a student, who is:

a NSW resident
enrolled to attend school in 2023 (from kindergarten to year 12), including students who are home-schooled or enrolled in year 10 or year 12 equivalent qualifications at TAFE NSW.

Students can apply on their own behalf if they meet the eligibility criteria and have their own Medicare card.

Apply for these via the Service NSW app on the phone or by visiting a Service Centre. For more information on applying read on here.

The Back to School vouchers be used for items such as:

School uniforms
School textbooks
School shoes
Stationery
School bag

Refer here for details of eligible expenses.

You have till 30 June, 2023 to use the vouchers at registered businesses which you can search for on this page here. Some you can redeem both online and in-store.
