Our firm prides itself on the provision of specialist advice and exceptional customer service, with our client base primarily consisting of businesses from a wide spectrum of industries. We form a close working relationship with our clients which allows us to deliver an accountancy and business advisory service that is tailored to their needs. 

Our firm is growing and we are searching for an experienced Business Support Officer and administration professional to join our small team. We are happy to accommodate applicants that are wanting either Full or Part-time employment.

The role

You will work in collaboration with our Practice Manager to provide a range of administrative services including;

  • Provide a range of administrative and support services, including preparing documents, meeting coordination, collecting and processing incoming and outgoing mail, reconciling transactions, invoicing and debtor management, corporate compliance functions, and other tasks to support the effective operation of the team
  • Complete financial transactions and purchasing services, ensuring compliance with associated procedures
  • Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries (phone, email and mail), escalating if necessary and following up responses with the accountants
  • Update and maintain client files, records and databases, complying with administrative systems and processes, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible
  • Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) on a range of matters and complete electronic lodgement by required deadlines
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information independently and under general directives and policies
  • Build and maintain effective client relationships
  • Additional tasks and projects as required to assist the Practice Manager, the Principal, other accountants, staff and clients.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be motivated, have strong organisational skills and attention to detail. They will have excellent communication skills with previous experience in an administrative role, ideally in a professional services environment. Previous experience with Xero would also be considered favourable.
