The Annie Noble Garden, Orange

Annie was a much-loved Mother and Grandma, favourite Aunt and amazing cook.

Annie's garden is full of love. The garden has been carefully tended over the years, building on a heritage garden, adding more and more to ensure flowers as much of the year as possible.

It's hard to say what age you would give the garden, some items are 50 years old, some five.

Landscape Architecture firm Sala4D has assisted with the more recent plantings, advising on plants that will work within the existing structure. The plants are all drought hardy and thrive in Orange's cool climate; they love a good soaking every few years.

Birds of all kinds attend the garden regularly for the many flowers that appear throughout the year. A vegetable patch provides seasonal produce, along with raspberries, figs, rhubarb, nectarines, apples, crab-apples and a variety of herbs - all fantastic for family cooking.
