Dr Melanie Berry has been an ED doctor in the region since 2017 and when the COVID pandemic started to affect our region, she had the knowledge, skill set and right attitude to take on the challenge to develop a program to care for people affected in COVID within our community.
In the beginning this meant Melanie was not only developing the entire program on the run but was also the medical lead for the program and was responsible for caring for and overseeing the medical management of all patients who were COVID positive in western NSW.
Mel is an inspirational hero!
