Join us at Cowra Library for our Thursday morning Storytimes held from 10.30am – 11.30am during school terms.
Storytimes are lots of fun for parents, carers and children. We read stories, sing songs, play games and make craft to take home. Sessions are held during the school term and cater for preschool children and their carers. Storytime is also free and each session lasts about one hour.
Carers who spend time reading to their children create nurturing relationships, which is important for a child’s cognitive, language and social-emotional development.
Reading aloud and talking about pictures and words in age-appropriate books can strengthen your baby’s language skills, literacy development and parent-child relationships.
Children who are read to during infancy and their preschool years have better language skills when they start school and are more interested in reading and learning.
Remember to read age-appropriate books to your children and to make it fun! And we are here to help with that. We have books, games, rhymes, songs and craft!
